(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The remarks that the Supreme Leader recently made in response to threats of military action against Iran compelled Western officials to retract their statements, according to the leader of this week’s Friday prayers in Tehran.“The remarks by Imam Khamenei in response to the West’s threats were made in such a way that these countries budged immediately and retracted their remarks against Iran, and this shows what status Iran has,” Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani told worshippers at Friday prayers at the campus of the University of Tehran. Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on November 10, “If the thought of invasion against the Islamic Republic of Iran crosses anybody’s mind, he must ready himself to receive a strong slap and an iron fist from the Army, Sepah (Islamic Revolution Guards Corps), and Basij, and, in one word, from the great nation of Iran.” Ayatollah Emami Kashani added, “Imam Khamenei responded to recent threat of military attack on Iran. However, analysts have mentioned two points regarding the status of Imam Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the revolution. These two points are the people’s support of the Leader and Iran’s military prowess.”/129
